scout camp

joey went to scout camp this year and earned 7 merit badges. he already has almost all of his required for eagle so he got to do a lot of fun ones. his funnest was shotgun, he had to work hard at this and practice to hit the percentage he was the first to qualify in his group. if you no joey this made him extremly happy. he also earned horsemanship,radio,finger printing,basket weaving and a few others. he had a great time, luckly i halled all the scouts bikes up because the camp was all spread out and took forever if you were walking. i glad his scouting is so much fun to him a big part of that is his leader!

field day

at the end of each school year we have a field day at the reservation school my girls go to. here are a few of the activities. note the competativeness of my girls, they did not have a chance between kaycee's side and my side there is not one person who is not extremly competative.

joey was out of school 1 week before so he help out with the last week of the girls school. he had to try hard not to destroy the kids at hockey because like me he has a hard time turning off the desire to win. this was myan's class 5 years old.
brooke can not turn it off at all 100% all the time. this gilr got the ball and is only a few feet from the spot she pick it up when brooke nails her.
here brooke is pulling a younger girls flag, they made brooke wait till she began to run after the last girl. note no one else in the pictures because this was a little girl, but brooke said "she wants to play i am going to get her"!

brooke in a timed race through a blow up obstacal course. her and a friend were pretty even and it was funny because niether one would stop. the day was top off with a hot dog eating contest. i lost, the first yeart i won the pie eating, last year i lost because with no hands i could not get the pie crust off the bottom. this year after i watch the winner switch to his second plate of 5 when i was on #4 i new i was done. the camera died but if i get any pictures i will post them.

mom this is for you. he did not even complain when i asked him to do it. he loved the water as you can see. he took korbin on it for fran. i forgot to say that emily's boy friend has twins in brooke's class so she was there also, fran was down so she met us their with her son. matt works for the school so he was earning his pay the hard way.

Brooke's class did lego land for their end of the year field trip. joey was already out of school so he was volentering at the girls school so the principal asked if he would like to go on the trip. he went off with a group of boys from Brooke's class and i did not see him again till we got back on the bus. this is brooke on the bus.

Kaycee was once again suppose to go but something came up(see any pattern?). so i got a group of 3 to watch. they had a great time, i let them choose what to do and just followed.

I took Myan and Loa to sea world for there end of the year field trip. we had a great time looking and touching all the sea creatures. Kaycee was going to take them but Temet was sick so she had to stay home. We fed the dolphins and the sea rays. played with the star fish. went on some rides. the kids hung around friends from school. in the first picture is (left to right) tracy(stella's mom), Myan, Loa, and Loa's friend Stella. this ride is like the tea cups!
